Vogt Awards Demo Day
October 15, 2020 | Virtual Event
Welcome to The Community Foundation of Louisville’s 20th Anniversary Vogt Invention & Innovation Awards - Demo Day
PRODUCED BY
Celebrating the important role of innovation and startups.
The Vogt Awards are funded by the Vogt Invention & Innovation Fund at the Community Foundation of Louisville. This endowment fund was established in 1999 by Mr. Henry Vogt Heuser, Sr. to strengthen Louisville's economic health by supporting innovative startups and inspiring entrepreneurship.
Demo Day is an opportunity for the grant winners to present their companies and the progress they've made to the startup, investor, and business communities.
Vogt Award founders have a business model that is being developed, validated and refined, and may pivot as needed. Key development work is often outsourced at this juncture with the initial product version in active development. The startup may have a Beta or prototype available or an MVP (minimum viable product). The maximum lifetime revenue is $100,000 to be eligible and ideally unit economic targets are understood. The company is beyond the idea phase and in the customer discovery phase, willing to pivot until Problem-Solution Fit is found. Pre-selection financing must be less than $500,000, generally from grants, accelerators, seed investors and friends and family.
